Aura Car Hire – Car Hire Policy
AGE REQUIREMENTS
To rent with Aura Car Hire, drivers must be at least 25 years of age and have held a full UK or EU driving licence for a minimum of 2 years.
Drivers aged 23 or 24 with less driving experience may still be eligible to hire with prior approval from our insurance partners.

BUSINESS HOURS
- Aura Car Hire offers a 24-hour contactless rental service for your convenience.
- Out-of-hours bookings must, however, be arranged during regular business hours.
- An out-of-hours service fee will be applied at the time of booking.
CANCELLATION POLICY
- Cancellations must be made at least 72 hours prior to your scheduled collection time.
- Cancellations made within 72 hours of pickup will incur a one-day rental charge, billed to the card used for booking.

COLLISION DAMAGE WAIVER (CDW)
- All Aura vehicles are insured under a fully comprehensive policy, with a standard £1,500 excess for damage or collision.
- Renters can opt for our Zero Excess Waiver, which eliminates financial liability for vehicle loss or damage—provided all rental terms are met.
- Please note: windscreens and tyres are not covered under the CDW.
DEPOSIT & EXCESS
- A £1,500 excess applies to all standard bookings unless an excess waiver has been purchased.
- The standard security deposit is £200.00.
- Aura offers a range of optional protection packages to reduce your liability and deposit:
- Deposit can be lowered to as little as £80.00
- Excess reduced to as little as £0.00
These packages are designed to provide peace of mind and flexibility for every customer.
PAYMENT METHODS
- We accept all major credit and debit cards.
- The cardholder’s name must match the driver’s licence and the card must be valid at the time of hire.
- Prepaid cards are not accepted for deposits or rentals.
DRIVER’S LICENCE REQUIREMENTS
- A valid UK or EU driving licence must be presented for verification via our online ID check service once your booking is confirmed.
- UK licence holders are required to provide a DVLA check code at check-in.
- EU licence holders must submit an up-to-date record of driving convictions or endorsements.
- The licence must remain valid for the entire rental duration and meet the minimum age and experience criteria outlined above.
EQUIPMENT & ADDITIONAL SERVICES
- Vehicle Selection: Aura Car Hire cannot guarantee specific makes, models, or colours. If your reserved vehicle is unavailable, an equivalent or upgraded model will be provided at no extra cost.
- Child Safety Seats: Available for £10.00 per day, subject to 24-hour advance notice. Due to limited availability, early booking is recommended.
FUEL POLICY
All vehicles must be returned with the same fuel level as at collection. If the vehicle is returned with less fuel, a refueling charge will be applied.
MILEAGE POLICY
Enjoy unlimited mileage with every Aura Car Hire vehicle. There are no additional charges for distance travelled within the United Kingdom.
ONE-WAY RENTALS
Currently, one-way rentals are not available. All vehicles must be returned to the original collection location.
RENTAL EXTENSIONS / OVERSTAY POLICY
- If you wish to extend your rental period, please contact the rental office immediately.
- Rates apply only for the original reservation period. Any extension or modification may be subject to rate adjustments.
- Please note that rates are not prorated.
INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL
Aura Car Hire vehicles are not permitted to leave the United Kingdom under any circumstances.
